Landfill Time:

(Actual time may vary depending on soil oxygen levels and finishes applied.)
What We Love:
Viscose is derived from wood pulp and is biodegradable in ideal conditions.
This blend provides a soft hand-feel and fluid drape, ideal for elevated pieces.
Production in Portugal may reflect higher labor and manufacturing standards compared to offshore sourcing.
Lower transport emissions when used for EU-based manufacturing.
What We Don’t Love:
Viscose is chemically intensive to produce and often lacks pulp source traceability or FSC certification.
Polyester and elastane components reduce biodegradability and contribute to microplastic pollution.
End-of-life recycling is difficult due to the blended composition.
No certifications or traceability to ensure closed-loop or low-impact production methods.
